Parallel / Grey Imports
Certain products sold by Rebel & Villain may be classified as parallel or grey imports.
Unless otherwise stated, products displayed as available on our website are held in stock by Rebel & Villain. These products are genuine and authentic goods sourced through alternative international distribution channels and imported into South Africa independently of the official local distribution network.
As these products may have been imported without the authorisation of the South African trademark owner, licensee, or authorised local distributor, including distributors associated with brands such as Hasbro, Bandai and McFarlane Toys, the official South African distributor may not be responsible for providing manufacturer warranties, repairs, replacements or after-sales support for these products.
Where applicable, warranty claims, returns and customer support relating to products sold by Rebel & Villain will be handled directly by Rebel & Villain, subject to our policies and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other applicable South African legislation.
Product Images
Product images displayed on our website are provided for illustrative purposes. While we make every reasonable effort to ensure that images accurately represent the products being sold, packaging, colours, accessories and other product details may occasionally differ from the images displayed.
Where a material difference exists between the product advertised and the product supplied, your rights under applicable South African consumer law remain unaffected.
Deliveries
Rebel & Villain currently delivers to addresses within South Africa only.
Our standard estimated delivery period is 3–5 business days, unless otherwise indicated during checkout or on the relevant product page. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, courier availability and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Rebel & Villain reserves the right to amend its available delivery methods and delivery charges from time to time. Any applicable delivery charges will be communicated to you before your order is completed.
If our courier is unable to deliver your parcel, we will endeavour to contact you and arrange another delivery attempt where possible.
If delivery cannot be completed within 7 days due to circumstances attributable to the customer, including an incorrect delivery address or repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts, the parcel may be returned to Rebel & Villain. Any cancellation, refund, additional delivery charge or other applicable fee will be handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.
Delivery Delays
We make every reasonable effort to provide accurate delivery estimates; however, delivery dates and times cannot always be guaranteed.
Orders may occasionally be delayed due to courier disruptions, adverse weather, operational issues, public holidays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where we become aware of a significant delay affecting your order, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you as soon as possible and provide available options.
Where permitted by applicable law and depending on the circumstances, you may be given the option to continue waiting for the order or cancel the affected item or order.
Shipping Insurance and Risk
Parcels dispatched by Rebel & Villain are insured while in transit, subject to the applicable courier and insurance terms.
Responsibility for the goods will transfer in accordance with applicable South African law once the goods have been delivered to you or an authorised recipient at the delivery address.
Please inspect your parcel as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if it appears to have been damaged during transit.
Returns
If you would like to return a product, please contact Rebel & Villain for assistance and the applicable returns procedure.
Returns, exchanges, refunds and warranty claims are handled in accordance with our Returns Policy and applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, where applicable.
Products that have been damaged through misuse, negligence, unauthorised modification or other customer-caused damage may not qualify for a return or warranty claim where permitted by law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited or excluded under South African law.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled subject to the status of the order and applicable South African consumer law.
Where an order has already been processed, dispatched or specially handled, reasonable charges may apply where legally permitted. Any applicable charge will be communicated to you.
Rebel & Villain reserves the right to cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in circumstances involving stock errors, pricing errors, suspected fraud, payment problems or circumstances that make fulfilment impossible.
If Rebel & Villain cancels an order after receiving payment and the cancellation is not attributable to the customer, the amount paid for the cancelled goods will be refunded in full using an appropriate payment method.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation rights available to consumers under applicable South African legislation.
Payments
Payment is required using one of the payment methods made available during checkout.
For card payments, the applicable amount may be processed once the transaction has been authorised by the payment provider.
All orders remain subject to acceptance and verification by Rebel & Villain. For the protection of our customers and our business, transactions may be subject to fraud-prevention and security checks.
In certain circumstances, we or our payment service provider may request additional information reasonably required to verify a transaction or the identity of the purchaser.
Orders for which payment has not been successfully received or confirmed may be cancelled.
General
These terms should be read together with Rebel & Villain's other applicable website policies, including our Privacy Policy, Returns Policy and any additional terms displayed during checkout.
Nothing contained in these terms is intended to waive, restrict or exclude any statutory rights available to consumers under South African law.
